Warning: Depending on when in her timeline I am taking her, this Minako will be a walking suicidal ideation trigger warning. If you are not comfortable with that please let me know I can take her from much much later on her timeline, or we can cease threading.

If I take her from slightly later in her timeline, she will potentially be a walking drug abuse trigger and/or a walking murder/mercy kill ideation trigger

Basically very little happytimes will happen here unless for some reason I feel like playing her from near the end of her timeline. Even during her recovery she's obviously not going to be perfectly stable and chipper like canon!Minako, because that shit's hard and not linear.

Permissions: Since this Minako kind of exists for suffering, there's very little I won't let you do to her. If you're worried about something ask! You can reply here if PMing is scary. I don't mind!

For her, violence or anger or sad is generally encouraged! Sexual harassment, unless the meme I'm posting on is for that, I am a little more careful about. You can also just ask in subject comments. I figure my tolerance/desire for that will come and go, and depend on where in her timeline she is. She's just a very broken girl.

comments

Nutshell Version

This Minako is from a universe in which she and Minato both existed and went to Iwatodai and climbed Tartarus. They used to be one child, but when Aigis sealed Death inside them, that child could not handle that burden alone, so they split into two aspects (the Fool as 0 and the Fool as 22) that share many things but are ultimately two sides of one coin. They are in their souls the same person, in a way, and they needed each other more than anything else. Minako kept Minato living when he was so numb to emotion he would be a husk without her, and Minato kept Minako calm and positive when her emotions could get away from her. They identify with each other and were codependent beyond belief. Nothing could separate them.

When the end came and Nyx was defeated, they found out that both of them would die, but if one of them took the whole burden on themselves, one of them could live.

They agreed to die together.

But at the last minute, Minato changed the rules, and took the death all upon himself to become the seal against Nyx alone. Minako, suddenly stripped of her grounding, her other half, the mediator to her emotions, completely lost control of herself and slipped into a horrible cycle of depression and delusion and self-destruction.

Eventually she starts to slowly recover, and learns just how much damage she was doing to Minato as the seal when she was so out of control, and eventually forgives him for leaving her. At the "end point" of her growth she becomes a harbinger and preacher of hope and love of life and joy in life, in order to help humanity move away from its wish for death as much as she can, both for them and for Minato to lessen his burden. So in the end, they do carry the weight of protecting mankind together, working as one the way they are meant to.

comments
